They continued to lead the world's big band jazz scene.

The album includes "Kogun," which shows the ultimate blend of Japanese and Western styles, and "Elegy," a remake of a representative song from the 1950s. Also noteworthy are the participating members Toshiko Akiyoshi on piano, composition and arrangement, and Takin on flute and tenor sax.
