Released in 1979, this was the third solo album by Iggy Pop, who was hailed as the "Godfather of Punk." It was the first in a trilogy that continued with "Soldier" and "Party," and was produced by his former Stooges colleague, James Williamson.
Scott Thurston, also a member of the Stooges, participated in the songwriting, and the album updated their punk rock sound. The singles "I'm Bored" and "Five Foot One" became important parts of their live repertoire.
