This is the first work in five years since the previous one to feature new members.
The 10th album released in 2011. It's been 5 years since the previous album "Stadium Arcadium". It contains 14 songs in total, including "Monarchy of Roses", which was used in a Nissan commercial in Japan and later re-cut.
Josh Klinghoffer (G.) joined the band from this album. Rick Rubin continues to be the producer as with the previous album. The impressive jacket artwork is by British contemporary artist Damien Hirst.
