This is their first full album in about two years since their previous work, "Towel Blanket is Calm," and their first since the band changed their name to "kanekoayano" in August last year.Pre-production continued for a year with fellow band members, guitarist Hayashi Hirotoshi and bassist Takuyaiizuka, and with the addition of drummer SEI NAGAHATA and percussionist Miyasaka Ry The 10 tracks, including re-recordings of "Lucky" and "Not Lonely," continue Kaneko Ayano's signature folky side while allowing for a much greater degree of freedom in the arrangements. The psychedelic songs have become even more psychedelic, and the songs approaching Krautrock and dub have evolved and deepened into more experimental sounds. Congas and steel pans are also incorporated, painting a variety of landscapes with each song. Each song's individuality is reflected in the songs more than ever before, making this a truly band-like album. The jacket artwork was newly drawn by artist TIDE. |
