A fragment of New York painted by the young Branford.
Branford Marsalis, a renowned saxophonist, released this jazz album in the early 1980s. In addition to classic bop, he also mixed modern jazz and poetry reading, and you can sense the experimental spirit of this young talent. While inheriting the influence of Art Blakey, this album shows Marsalis already establishing his own voice.
