A tightly knit chamber jazz piece woven together by three equals.
A trio work featuring Norwegian female vocalist Karin Krogh, Warne Marsh (tenor saxophone) and Red Mitchell (bass).
In a space without piano or drums, the voice, saxophone, and bass respond keenly to each other's resonances. Marsh's saxophone weaves melody lines with a cool tone, intertwining contrapuntally with Krog's vocals. Red Mitchell's bass not only keeps the rhythm going, but also supports the harmonic foundation and sometimes plays a melodic role. Familiar songs such as the standard "I Remember You" are reconstructed into tense chamber jazz through the sophisticated interplay between the three.
