Bonnie Raitt's Back-to-Basics Challenge
This album is a modern reinterpretation of traditional blues/roots music, with a focus on simple sound production and a solid band sound.
The album is centered around vocals and slide guitar, but also incorporates elements of ballads, rock, and reggae. The 11 tracks, including the band's signature track "The Fundamental Things," are supported by a rhythm section and ensemble, and while building on their past career, they also convey a desire to return to their roots.
