This was Toi et Moi's debut song and a great single that heralded the golden age of Japanese folk duos.
"One Day Suddenly" is memorable for its nostalgic melody and clear harmony, and was also popular as the theme song for a TV drama. The B-side, "Koibito no Nagisa," is also a song rich in poetry that seems to capture a moment of youth. It is a work that feels like the original landscape of Showa-era folk pop.
